Save Our Benefits is a coalition comprised of employers, employees, and consumers who have all felt the impact of skyrocketing prescription drug costs on Louisiana families. We are a diverse group of stakeholders committed to taking action to address this issue head-on.
Our mission is to establish a consumer-driven coalition dedicated to educating and advocating for change to legislators, elected officials, grassroots leaders, human resource and healthcare professionals, benefit managers, and the media.
Our goal is to amplify the voices of everyday workers, business owners, and large employers who are grappling with the challenges posed by rising healthcare and prescription drug expenses.
We urge our lawmakers to support practical solutions that:
- Shield consumers from exorbitant healthcare expenses,
- Safeguard free enterprise by avoiding healthcare coverage mandates on consumers,
- Prevent government interference in private healthcare contracts negotiated by informed parties, and oppose the use of government power to benefit specific sectors, such as independent pharmacists, at the expense of Louisiana families, employers, and consumers.
